Is your TV indicating there’s firmware that needs to be downloaded? I’m not seeing that there is a firmware update available for this model on our site. Are you having issues with your TV that you believe a firmware update would solve? We look forward to learning more about your ask.

Do not worry I bought a new 50" 4k smart tv. No one cares about the 48 " tv. However, when I set up my new 50" when the choice was basic or full the tv would not accept full. So I had to choose basic. How, can I reset the tv to full. I don't even remember what the choice was for. Any help on resetting my new 4k smart tv would be appreciated.

Good Morning, HokieNation,

 

Have you attempted to reset your TV back to factory defaults? You should be to do that by choosing the following prompts listed below.

 

Press Home, then select Settings. Select Device & Software, then select Reset to Factory Defaults.

 

Can you please confirm if your TV was connected to the internet when you had it set it up? To get the Full version you’d need to login your Amazon profile according to the Quick Setup Guide.

HokieNation needs to know if I do a factory reset will I loose all of the apps I have already downloaded. Yes, I was hooked up to the internet.

Mariah, HokieNation thanks you. What pray tell do you mean by log into my amazon profile. Exactly what steps do I need to take. And what will I gain by using or getting the full experience on my tv or should I leave it at basic. Thank you again for your quick response to my questions.

Mariah, what lousy advice. I factory reset or factory default on my NS-50DF710NA19. NOW THE REMOTE WILL DO NOTHING. Everthing is frozen. I changed the batteries in the remote and still it will do nothing. The screen says choose a language. I unplugged the tv and plugged it back up. The remote will not work. Thanks for getting me into this situation. HokieNation is not happy!!!

Mariah, what a mess you made. I reset my 50" NS-50DF710NA19 I followed your suggestion to factory reset my TV. Now the remote will only turn the tv on and off. I removed the batteries from the remote. Replaced them and still the remote will do nothing but turn the tv on and off. Now what am I supposed to do?
