Unsupported Mode

Hello,

 

i recently purchased and installed an Insignia LED television. I am now getting a message, UNSUPPORTED MODE, when I try to watch a tv show through my Shaw Cable digital box on Video on Demand. I will mention that the cable box has been working fine on the television for all other needs, Apple TV, DVD, HDTV.... When can enter the VOD screen but when we select the show to watch we have sound but no picture.  Can you help?

I should also mention the cable box is connected through the component mode.

What model of TV do you have? Unsupported Mode is usually some kind of resolution issue.

Well from the specs on the TV it says it should support any regular resolution through Component except 1080p. Is there any chance the box is outputting 1080p on the PPV channels through component? You might try and reduce the resolution in the cable box settings to see if it does the same thing.
