Wasn't planning on picking up a TV today but Best Buy was selling their floor model of this TV for only $99 and I plan on picking up the warranty tomorrow, can't go wrong.
Anyway, my first question is about the base, does it tilt back? The set came assembled so I haven't messed around with it much. Right now my set is perfectly upright and I would like for it to lean back a tad.
And I'm not sure if anyone would know but my Xbox 360 is currently set to 480p and when I tried switching to 780p, the screen just went blank and eventually returned to 480p. My guess is that it's a TV setting that's preventing my 360 from switching to 780p?

I consulted the owner's manual for your new TV to see if it would shed light on your questions. It doesn't appear that the stand will allow the TV to tilt at any angle. As to the Xbox 360 signal output, the TV should output the signal being put into it and would not impact whether the signal is changed on the Xbox itself. I would recommend ensuring that the TV output is set to its maximum using the HDMI button on the remote, then trying to set the Xbox output and see if that achieves the result you're seeking.
