hello. i would like to find help or suggestions with a problem on my Insignia Roku TV model: ns-50dr710na17. my TV will turn on and i can navigate menus, settings, etc but my screen is dim. i have tried setting all brightness settings and still the same. i have factory reset through the settings menu, the reset button on the back of TV and also did the unplugging and holding on power button for 30 seconds, then powering back on and the screen still stays dim. dim enough to not be able to enjoy watching like this. has anyoneo else had this problem with this particular model and were you able to resolve the issue? does anyone else have any ideas as to the possible issue? thanks in advance for any replies.

Hi there, WVUfan,
Having a dim TV would be most frustrating, especially for scenes in shows and movies that are already have a dark backdrop. It sounds like you've done some digging to begin with, but without any luck. When you state that you've tried all the brightness settings, do you see literally no change, or is there a slight change but still not enough to correct the issue you're having?

Thank you for clarifying that. While it sounds like your TV may actually be in need of repair, before jumping to that conclusion, I would recommend contacting Insignia Support at (877) 467-4289 to discuss this issue further.

Apologies for the long reply time, Tasha-BBY. I had called the support number you gave to me in your last post. I called and talked to a really nice representative who, unfortunately, couldn't help because out-of-warrany. But I explained him my situation and he gave me his opinion on that it sounded like the LED strips were bad and suggested I replace them. I in turn took apart the TV and sure enough, there are at least two WHOLE strips that are completely out and a few on the remaining strips that are very dim and blinking. So the rep was correct. Now, my follow-up question is: where might I find replacement LED strips to fix my TV? I have tried ShopJimmy, Insignia parts website to no avail. Does anyone who reads the forums know of a place I may find these replacement LED strips? Model is in the Subject line. If not, I suppose I will sell the boards out of the TV to hopefully make some money back and also help someone out. Thanks again, Tasha-BBY for any other suggestions you may have! Have a good weekend!
