NS-LTDVD32-09 low volume even at maximum level

My family recently purchased the 32" Combo TV LCD.  The video is perfectly fine and the audio comes in, but only pretty softly.  Even with the volume level pumped all the way up, the volume is still soft.  The input source is TV, and it is directly hooked into a Comcast converter box; the audio set up says "personal" and is set to stereo.  Turning it to mono hasn't changed the levels at all.  Thanks for your help!

Re: NS-LTDVD32-09 low volume even at maximum level

Hello checkmate,

Welcome to Community@Insignia™!

You might try changing the "SPDIF Type" to "RAW" if it's currently set to "PCM."  If that doesn't resolve the issue, you may need to consult your cable provider to make sure that their signal is coming through properly.

I hope this helps.

Regards,
John

Re: NS-LTDVD32-09 low volume even at maximum level

John,

thank you for the speedy response.  all the various Audio functions are in white with the exception of "SPDIF--PCM" which is in a faded yellow.  It will not allow me to stop at it to make the change to RAW.  What to do now??

thank you.
