NS-55D510NA17 Pink Screen

My insignia NS-55D510NA17 has a pink screen all of the time even when there’s nothing plugged into it. You can see the image behind the pink screen.   It is pink using all inputs. Even if I unplug the power plug it back in, unplug the inputs plug them back in, the TV has a pink screen 100% of the time now.

please help.

Welcome to our Best Buy Forum community! While I wish you had discovered us under different circumstances, I'm glad you came to us for support with your Insignia TV. I can understand how a pink screen would be less than ideal, so let's see what we can try to get your TV back to normal.

 

Have you checked out our Home Theater Troubleshooting Guide? There's some great tips in there for things to try when a television isn't behaving as it should.  One thing I've heard that has helped with pink screen issues in the past is trying new HDMI cables. 

 

If you've given that a shot, (along with any of the other helpful tips in our troubleshooting guide), please let us know so we can look in to this further.

Yes, I have checked several different forms and the pink screen’s previous owners experiences seem to be related to power supplies and or input connections. My screen comes up pink from that time it boots up.  It stays pink all of the time however I can still see the image on the screen. As i change inputs the screen is still pink.  As I change HDMI cables the screen is still pink.  I have unplugged the input devices and pluged them back in but the screen color does not change. 

 

Please assist.

Hello Stonemc,

 

Jessica is currently unavailable, so I hope you don’t mind me jumping in here to assist.  Although it’s unlikely a factory reset will resolve this particular issue, you’re welcome to give it a try by following the below steps.

 

  1. Press MENU.
  2. Press the left or right arrow keys to highlight HELP, then press ENTER.
  3. Press the up or down arrow keys to highlight Reset to Default, then press ENTER.
  4. Press the up or down arrow keys to select OK (to reset) or Cancel (to not reset), then press ENTER.

 

If a factory reset doesn’t fix the discoloration on your screen, I would encourage you to schedule a service appointment with Geek Squad.
