Insignia TV gone black

I have just turned on my Insignia 24inch TV to find the screen has gone dark. You can see the faint outline of the home screen. Any clues how to fix this issue,

Thanks

Re: Insignia TV gone black

Hi, JohnButler,

Welcome to our community! Thanks for posting to us your issues with your Insignia 24” TV. We’d be happy to see how we may be able to assist you.

Have you tried to power cycle your TV? You should be able to do this by unplugging the TV from power and it’s components for a few minutes. This model does have a reset button. Have you tried to press the button for 15 seconds? This should reset your TV back to factory settings. We look forward to your reply to continue to see how we may be able to help you more, if those options don't work for you.

Respectfully,

Re: Insignia TV gone black

Hello again,

If you tried the options Mariah offered and still getting back to the same screen it's a possible backlight failure. If under warranty its covered otherwise if not it will not be cost effective to repair vs getting a new unit which I would suggest adding an extended service plan to cover the unexpected. I hope this helps.
