Insignia Smart Fire tv edition not connecting to internet

My brand new insignia tv was working fine and connected to WiFi. All of the sudden the next day I went to turn it on and it would no longer connect. It says signal strength is good and then ‘connected with problems’. I tried rebooting my router, tv and did a hard reset and unplugged as well. I called fios and they ensured me my internet is working fine and I could need a network extender if the problem persists. Every other device is working fine. As I am reading through forums I’m seeing this is a common problem, particularly with the insignia TVs when connecting to WiFi. Any suggestions to fix this or should we just return the tv?

We actually also just connected it directly into the Ethernet and it worked. The TVs WiFi card is busted. Can this be fixed?

If you are within your return period for your TV purchase, I would recommend exchanging the TV. Best Buy's Return & Exchange Promise allows for the return or exchange of most products within 15 days of purchase (30 days for My Best Buy Elite members and 45 days for Elite Plus members). 

 

Otherwise, if your TV is 42" or less, you can pursue service by carrying your TV in to your local Geek Squad. Please make a reservation by visiting We're Here to Help and selecting "Make a Reservation" under "Getting Help is Easy." If your TV is larger than 42" please call Geek Squad at (800) 433-5778 to schedule a technician to visit your home.
