I have an Insignia TV NS-50D420NA16 that turns on, has sound but no picture.
When I turn it on, it gives me 1 long then 4 short blinks of the red led on the front.
Then I hear sound, but no picture.
If the service manual or list of blink codes are referenced somewhere it would be great if I could get that info.
or if someone knows exactly what this is that would be cool too.

Have you tried to power cycle the TV and the device you're watching for example the cable box. Give the TV at least 5 minutes to drain power after you unplug it and in the meantime check all cable connections/ switching to a different input. The manual can be found here.
If still no success call Insignia support for real time troubleshooting at 1-877-467-4289.

Thanks for your input. I did the power cycle thing early on. This issue persists. I did find that manual also, it’s not what I’m looking for. I’m gonna need more of a technical service manual. I can see that this information isn’t readily available. Just a bit annoyed that I can’t even get a list of the blink codes.

But seriously, there isn't a service manual anywhere for Insignia TV's that has an actual troubleshooting guide? Also, I know Insignia is Best Buy's house brand, but who actually makes the TV?

Thank you for your message. You ask great questions.
Firstly, it is my understanding that service manuals and other such materials are reserved for authorized service providers. In the case of Insignia TVs, this would be Geek Squad.
As to your second query, Insignia TVs are designed by Insignia engineers and manufactured to their specifications.
I hope this helps. Thank you for writing to us.
