Insignia 19" tv NSMT-19D310NA19. Audio fine all day. In the morning, no audio though picture great.

Purchased tv 3 days ago. I have experimented with HDMI ports. After 3-5 minutes audio comes on and is good for the entire day. Or when I hit the INPUT button, the sound comes on. The VOICE GUIDE is always very loud but only in the morning, the audio from the program is lacking for 3-5 minutes then all is normal. Not sure what to do or is this a defect. Please advise. I do have a warranty.

Welcome to our community. 

 

If you haven't already done so, try power-cycling the TV by turning it off and unplugging it for several minutes. This should serve to reset the TV hardware.

 

If the problem persists, your TV will likely need repairs. Given that your purchase was very recent, I would recommend returning the TV for an exchange. Please visit Returns & Exchanges for more information about our Return & Exchange Promise, including extended Holiday returns.

I called Insignia and it seems that the problem was resolved. For 2 mornings the SOUND and the picture works. SOLUTION: Menu to AUDIO: I had STANDARD in AUDIO. Switch to THEATRE in audio and the problem was rectified. Weird but it works.
