Hello again bakstreet,
I consulted the owner's manual for your TV and and online troubleshooting tips for the Playstation 3. I would recommend ensuring that your TV is set to factory defaults and that you reset the Playstation to factory defaults also. In addition, you should check the cables and verify that they are all connected securely. If these steps don't resolve the problem, you may need to seek service. If the problem persists and the TV functions for all other uses, the issue is most likely with the Playstation. I hope this helps.

I apologize for the confusion. In trying to offer solutions for Insignia™ enthusiasts, I got a couple of posts mixed up.
I'd still recommend making sure that the cables are secure and that both products are set to factory defaults. Failing that, new cables may be an option. Again, if the TV functions for all other uses, the DVD player is probably the culprit. Let us know what happens!
