Buzzing/Humming Noise Coming From Insignia Television

Hello all,


I recently purchased an Insignia 43 led 4k tv from Best Buy. To start off, I live more than 45 minutes from Best Buy and do not own a car, so any help that doesn't require me to go back is appreciated!


After turning it on for the first time, I noticed a buzzing/humming noise within the first 30 minutes. Now, whenever I turn the tv on, I can immediately hear it. The only thing that is plugged into the tv is the power cord. I had an ethernet cable in, but unplugged it and can still hear the noise. It's coming from the back of the television, seemingly near the power cord. And yes, it happens no matter what the volume--on mute, at 10%, 20%... same volume either way.


Is there anything I can do? Does anyone have experience with this?

Update: it seems to be humming/buzzing when the screen turns on, so it takes a second or two after turning the television on.


I also tried it in multiple different outlets with no luck.

if you haven't already done so, I would recommend power-cycling your TV by turning it off and unplugging it for several minutes. This should serve to reset the TV hardware.


If the problem persists, I would recommend returning your TV to the store either for an exchange or for service options through Geek Squad. I understand the logistics involved and that you would prefer options that would avoid returning to your nearest Best Buy, but in truth if the TV does have a fault, an exchange is the best option if your'e still within your return period (within 15 days of purchase, or 30 days for My Best Buy Elite members and 45 days for Elite Plus members), or service if outside the returns time frame.
