Accessing digital broadcast channels from the remote using digits?

Greetings. I am using an indoor antenna (not cable) with the NS-L22Q-10A. I know that there is a channel in my area, 8, that is doing digital broadcast. However, when I press "8", it always tries 8-0, the (now-dead) NTSC channel. How do I get it to try 8-1, the digital broadcast?

You've done the proper channel scan to set up your channel list?

If you have and there is a signal for 8-1, then it should be set in memory in your channel list so you can access the digital sub-channel from your remote by using the "8" button, then the dash button "-" then the "1" button  ...and if 8-1 is in your channel list, you should also be able to access it from your channel up and down button in addition to manually entering it on the keypad.

I think, anyway.

Yeesh. The "-" key. The one right under the numbers. I completely missed that. Thanks, that worked like a charm.

As for why I needed it, my indoor antenna is highly directional, and some stations come in only in some directions, so relying on the automatic scan doesn't work.
