we just purchased a 47" insignia model # NS-LCD47HD-09 tv over Fathers day weekend. We upgraded to HD service with our TV service ATT Uverse, however every so often the TV will black out like it is not getting the signal. The signal is strong and worked just fine on the TV that we previously had. We have not done anything with the calibraton at this point. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so any suggestions as to how to get this fixed. My husband beleives this to be a faulty TV. I just want to make sure it is hooked up correctly before going that route.

In order to address your concern, I'd like some clarification: did you begin using your upgraded ATT service after your TV purchase? Are you noticing the issue when using the service or when viewing over-the-air broadcasts? The reason for this distinction is that HD broadcast signals can be highly directional and intermittent black outs can occur if the antenna is not properly placed.
