Points Not Being Calculated Correctly

Hello, I believe there is an issue on how I am getting points with the reward system.  I had purchased a $300 TV a few weeks ago and only received only 7 points for the purchase.  Then a week after I purchased the TV it was on sale and  I was able to get $21 back on a price adjustment.  Then I noticed the points got changed to 0 after the price adjustment.  From what it says on the Best Buy website the base rewards program gives .5 points for each $1 dollar spent.  So shouldn’t I have gotten more points for the purchase?

There are few purchases more exciting than a new TV.  I second guessed my wife when she brought up the idea of buying a new Samsung smart TV because we really didn't need a new TV, but I have to admit she was right (don't tell her thoughSmiley Wink).  The new TV is ten times better, and I have zero regrets.  The only thing that made the purchase even better was being awarded points.

 

As you alluded to, our members with core status can receive .5 points per $1 on eligible purchases.  The method of payment would play into how many points are awarded.  How did you pay for the TV?  Did you use any certificates or gift cards?  Any portion of a purchase that is paid for with a certificate or gift card will not qualify for points.  Also, a price match will likely result in points being deducted since money is refunded.

 

I will have a better idea as to why you were only awarded 7 points for your purchase once I have had the opportunity to review your rewards account, and before I can do that, I will need to gather some additional information from you.  Please send me a private message with the information listed below, by clicking on the blue button in my signature, and I will see what I can do to help.
