Welcome, and congratulations on your My Best Buy Mystery Reward! Once you reveal the amount in store, you should not have to redeem it right away. Please keep in mind though that they are valid in-store only and do expire sooner than regular certificates, as it they should be valid through Nov. 6. I went to a store yesterday, they told me I had to buy something before learning about the certificate. What is the procedure they should follow? Do all stores know about this?

inomni - This is peculiar, as revealing the reward would require the barcode. You should be able to select the Mystery Reward module within the email to display the barcode and instructions. If you're having trouble viewing this, you may consider turning off any ad blockers. If you continue to have trouble, please do not hesitate to send me a private message.
ef2000 - While many customers may opt to make a purchase immediately with your Mystery Reward, it should not be necessary. Instructions to reveal the Mystery Reward should be available with the barcode.

Can anyone help me? I've received the mystery rewards email. I went to 2 separate stores, the only stores on Hawaii.
I was told I need to make a purchase. I asked to speak to a manager at both locations and both told me I need to make a purchase. I called customer service twice and was told I need to make a purchase. It does not make sense to me the coupon says in bold "No purchase or payment necessary to receive offer".
Customer service says they never heard of such an offer and that you need to make a purchase to apply the coupon. and use the mystery coupon there at the moment of purchase. It doesnt make sense to what the coupon states. Can anyone help me?
Customer service is no help. Been to 2 stores, and treated like a crazy person. I'm a Best Buy Elite Member but this cumbersome process is making me rethink my stance on Best Buy.

With that said, I am sorry to hear of your extensive difficulties with this, as you were consistently advised a purchase is necessary. As indicated in the terms you shared, neither purchase nor sales presentation is required to check value of the offer. Hello, I took the certificate to the store yesterday. The customer service rep, without scanning my certificate, told me that it would be a $5 value because that's just what everyone gets. So I purchased something and they scanned the certificate and took $5 off. Then they told me, with the sales receipt and the Mystery Rewards Certificate, I should go online to find further rewards. They said that is why the certificate has steps 1, 2, and 3 on it. After I got home, I read the certificate more closely, and I didn't find any addtional reward to be claimed online. I am confused. Did the sales rep give me wrong information? What should I do next?

Congratulations on your Mystery Reward! I'm ecstatic to hear you received one, and were looking to reveal and redeem it in store. While $5 certificates may be received, we definitely do give out other denominations as well. From what you've described, it sounds like the Mystery Reward may have been revealed and redeemed in the same transaction. Please know that revealing and redeeming the reward would not result in further rewards.
