My bestbuy member ID change problem

I signed up for a Mybestbuy account and applied for a bestbuy citi credit card. I want to use the Id from the credit card as I have only made purchases on this acount but My best buy online is linked to a separate ID. On the website and app there is an option to change Member ID which I have tried to do several times but, after entering the information the website says to enter a verification code from an email that may take a few minutes to get sent. I have tried several times, double checked that all my information was input correctly, checked my spam, and junk folders, but I never receive this verification email. I would apreciate some help on this matter.
