Expired Rewards Certificates

I think I lost around $70 worth of rewards certificates. This is pretty disappointing considering that earning rewards certificates is a pretty big incentive for me to make both business and personal purchases through Best Buy. I understand that there are terms that allow for this to have happened, but I also hope that some sort of reversal can be done.

Welcome to the Best Buy forum!


I have lost a a certificate or two over the years to expiration dates with each one feeling like a missed opportunity, and all I could think about is the stuff that I could have purchased.  I can imagine you may have felt similar after noticing you had certificates that expired.  It doesn't matter if a reward certificate is worth $5 or $100.  Any amount of money we can keep in your pockets is a good feeling, and we are all looking to save a few dollars when we can, especially during the holidays.


As you may read in similar forum threads, a non-bonus certificate will be automatically issued based on a member's certificate preference, and will generally be valid for a period of 60 days unless noted otherwise.  Just as a tip, I would encourage you to every so often login to your rewards account to make sure points aren't missing for any recent purchases or to see if you have any active certificates, as we do occasionally send out bonus certificates.
