Done with best buy

I have always received great service from best buy, but corporates "policy" on refusing to add rewards point after six months is absurd.

I purchased a projector in 9/17. I just noticed that I never got credit for the rewards points, even though it's tied to my email. Only reason I noticed is because I planned to use the points for the new setup. I called bestbuy expecting the usual great service and was told that it's impossible to add them back. They said t that it wouldn't be fair. If the points would otherwise be valid, why would it be unfair? If they valid for two years your should be able to go back two years, not 6 months.

No I don't audit my rewards history. When I log in to make purchases I don't review past transactions. I have better things to do.

I am about to drop significant money on a home theater setup. Was going to be at bestbuy, but now I'm going to frys. It amazes me that bestbuy would rather loose thousands of dollars in future sales than give me rewards points.

I will not spend another dime at bestbuy.

Hopefully corporate gets this message before they loose another customer.

Re: Done with best buy

Hello, Hemgs1,

Welcome to the Best Buy Forums, and thank you for taking the time to connect with us here. Our team is located here at the Corporate Campus, and we would be happy to assist in any way we can.

If you are looking to have expired certificates reissued from 2017, that is not a request we would be able to accommodate at this time. That being said, I’d be happy to take a look and see if any options could be available. To do so, please send me a private message by clicking the blue box in my signature below. Please be sure to include your full name, email, and phone number in the private message.

Kindly,

Re: Done with best buy

It seems painfully apparent that BB is more interested in saving my upcoming sale than they are a customer.

Yes your willing to comp me $25 credit if I purchase my new home theater setup with you guys. Doesn't seem like your trying to do the right thing. Seems like there are strings attached. Seems like you're trying to save the sale.

I'm not looking fire some big credit or discount. I am purely trying to understand if BB actually still cares for its customers.

Fyi - best buy basically just told me to go pound sand... Only via private message of course.

Ama has some great deals today anyway.
