I placed two large business orders on Best Buy for Business 15 days ago (www.bestbuybusiness.com) and I paid the same price as the bestbuy.com site for the products. The profile even asked what is my membership number . I assumed I would get rewards for these but I haven't seen any activity. I researched the rewards program and no where does it say that business purchases are not eligible for rewards.
The only reason I used the best buy for business is because it was a bulk order and I was hoping to do it in two orders vs. many orders. Is there a way to get rewards for these purchases?

Good morning, footballfangb,
Thank you for taking the time to register for the forum and connect with us!
While eligible purchases processed in-store or on BestBuy.com can qualify for points, a purchase made from Best Buy for Business (BBFB) may not necessarily be eligible for points. That is something you would need to discuss with a BBFB account manager though, as we have zero visibility to BBFB purchases. You can be reach the BBFB team by calling (877) 393-1038.

Thank you for responding. It's unfortunate that Best Buy does not spell it out as a policy clearly whether business orders with Best buy for business are eligible for rewards and leaves it to the account rep. Maybe I don't have a customer focused account rep or not a knowledgeable account rep and that's why I didn't receive the rewards.
I was hoping to get a clear answer here on why when a small business when they paid the full price, the small business is not offered the rewards because it was a bulk order. It feels the rewards program has a gap today that needs to be focused if Best Buy wants to improve customer experience.
By the way, I called the number and the person does not know what the policy and directed me to the account rep, which leaves me to where I started as my account rep does not know.

If you were to make a purchase for your small business at one of our store locations or on BestBuy.com, then it would be eligible for points. It would ultimately depend on how the purchase was paid for but it would likely still be eligible for points. We would have no way of knowing the purchase was made for a business; however, a purchase placed directly through the BBFB website or by speaking with a BBFB account manager is a different story. Again, the subject of points for BBFB purchases would need to be discussed with an account manager.
The following purchases or transactions are excluded from receiving points (“Non-Qualifying Purchases”): Leased products, purchases made prior to becoming a member, purchases/rentals at rent-to-own locations inside Best Buy Stores, purchases from a Best Buy Store on a third-party website or marketplace (such as Amazon, Google or eBay), instant rebates, pre-orders at the time of deposit (the points will be awarded at the time of final payment or at the time you pick up the product), purchases made for resale, purchases paid with a reward certificate, purchases using any type of promotional financing, Best Buy gift card or Magnolia gift card, store credit issued by Best Buy, sales tax, service charges, certain Best Buy Business or commercial purchases, other excluded charges, and certain items that are excluded in particular promotions. Best Buy entities, such as Geek Squad® services, purchased in store are awarded points; Geek Squad services purchased in home are not.

Thanks for sharing the terms. As you can see terms are not clear and subjective, "certain Best Buy Business or commercial purchases". I paid full price via credit card for an item that is sold on Bestbuy.com but because it was a bulk order, I called our business account rep and placed the order expecting to get rewards. For the same item, I bought on Bestbuy.com at the same price with a credit card, I received rewards.
However, my account rep is not sure whether the purchase qualifies for rewards. I as a customer feel lost as why the same purchase at the same price for a smaller quantity paid by the same method of payment qualifies for rewards on bestbuy.com but not Best Buy for business. Please note I am a elite plus customer and not very pleased with the policy. I did want to point out with the hope that Best buy can look into it and make the policy clearer and fair.

Besides points that can be earned outside of Best Buy when using the My Best Buy™ Visa card, a purchase would need to be made in one of our store locations or on BestBuy.com to be eligible for points. BBFB has their own separate website, and while I believe a BBFB account manager can at times help apply points, there are no guarantees as BBFB is an entirely separate thing. I have reached out to someone I know that works with BBFB but need to first gather additional information from you, so I will be sending you a private message shortly.
