10% Birthday Coupon issue

I know this gets asked all the time. But in my efforts to find a solution on the forum it seems every case is resolved with a private message. So I have to bring the same question to the forum:

 

My 10% Off Birthday coupon is not working. First, it doesn't give me the option to apply the coupon to a Ring Wireless Spotlight Camera. I do not see that listed in the fine print.

 

Second, it does give me the option to apply it to a Bose Solo 5 Soundbar. However at the checkout, the prices do not reflect a discount.

 

Also, I would like to provide feedback on this coupon for the sake of improvement. It is nearly useless. There is a chance that if I can not use it on the Ring Camera, I will buy the camera from Amazon and not even use the coupon unless I just find something small and happen to be in a BestBuy. There should be a list of items you are allowed to use it on because that would be easier than the giant list of items you can't use it on. Major exclusions apply.

Welcome to the Best Buy forum, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

 

Make sure not to tell anyone what you wish for after blowing out the candles because I hear it won't come true.  It sounds like you may have received the birthday coupon via email.  If that is the case, then the coupon should be displayed on the final page during checkout as long as you have an eligible item in your shopping cart.  You wouldn't need to manually enter a code or anything.  Just click on the offer during checkout to apply the 10% discount, and keep in mind that ALL sale items are excluded.

So I have to wait for the Ring cameras to not be on sale anymore before I can buy them using the coupon? It would be cheaper for me to purchase them from Target and have them price match.

Also, maybe I didn’t explain it well. I get to checkout and I click the option to add the 10% and nothing happens. I have tried this with other non sale items also and I have went as far the “Conform Payment” option, without the discount being applied.

Any item currently on sale would be excluded.  If you want to see about purchasing a Ring doorbell (I have one and they are fantastic!), then you would need to wait for it to no longer be on sale.  I can test your BestBuy.com account and the birthday coupon to make sure it is working properly if you were to send a private message.  Please make sure to include your name, phone #, email address, and product SKU #.
