Re: Ns-cspgasp2 "pair partner" LED display is stuck at "SEt"

Thanks for your feedback Powel.  Are you saying that at some point the "Pair Partner" speaker shifted from the Clock to SEt?  Are you sure you had the two speakers set up in "Pair Mode" initially?

Re: Ns-cspgasp2 "pair partner" LED display is stuck at "SEt"

Hello,

As Sam-BBY mentioned back in November, we did bubble up this feedback for you guys. We were advised by our engineers that the units should say SET if they’re paired moving forward. Additionally, they provided the below context as well:

When two speakers are paired, they act as one system with the left speaker playing the left channel of a stereo audio stream and the right speaker playing the right channel. Volume changes apply to both speakers. You can think of them as two speakers in a home theater system. The speaker in a stereo pair displaying SET should also play music.

Let us know if you have any further questions. You’re welcome to use the work around that Powel noted above too.

Kindly,

Yes, I bought the second speaker when the pair feature was introduced and set it right away. The clock displayed on both speaker for about 2 weeks. It has been mentioned by a few users.

I fail to see why a clock should display anything but the time no matter what mode it is in, whether it is paired or not.

Nicely worded but wrong answer guys. SEt is a bug or a bad UI choice. It must go. The "partner pair" must show the clock and some text in the temperature display area telling people it is not the speaker with the active microphone. We deserve at least one more rev of the firmware. Just do it. Any questions?

I agree. The bottom part of the screen is just going to waste. At the very least it should always display the weather instead of on request. I don't understand why we need any indication the speakers are in a pair. We're the ones who pair them, I would think we would know if we paired them! I also don't understand why the other mic has to be disabled. It just makes it more difficult to give commands if you are further away from the active speaker. I've submitted feedback on these issues, so hopefully they are taken into account.

I had a similar situation where the "pair partner" speaker was also showing the clock.  It changed to "Set" when I restarted my WiFi network.  Really annoying.
