I received these as a Christmas gift in 2007. I also received a set of outdoor speakers which have never been hooked up.We have tried to hook the outside speakers to the Amp, but they do not work. The inside speakers were hooked up to the system itself. We have tried to hook them up to the Amp as well. It does not seem to be working. We have followed the directions as best we can but to no avail. Any suggestions as to why the speakers are not working thru the Amp. Is there a trick to it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Welcome to Community @ Insignia™!
I'll be happy to look into this for you but I'll need some additional information. The model number for the amp would be very helpful. Also, by whom were the speakers manufactured? What type of cables are you using to connect the speakers to the amp? You mentioned that the inside speakers were hooked up to the system. Do you mean that they were not connected to the amp? The more detailed information we have, the better we can answer your questions.

Thanks for trying to help. The amp is AMP 100, Phoenix Gold Source. The speakers are hooked up with 18 guage speaker wire. The inside and outside speakers are Insignia just as the HD radio. The inside speakers were originally hooked up to the Radio and not thru the AMP. Could the AMP be the problem? Is there anyway to check it? When my son-in-law purchased all of these the salesman said that they were compatible. Do you need anything else?

We apologize for the long delay in response. If the speakers work just fine when connected to your radio but not when connected through the amp, then most likely the amp may not be working properly and may require service.
