NS-BTHDP Not Charging

My headphones are no longer charging after plugging into the power supply. While plugged in I can turn it on and pair with my iPhone. While it's on I attempted to remove the power to see if it would stay on but it doesn't.

Any recommendations on what I can try?

Thanks,

Anthony

Re: NS-BTHDP Not Charging

Hello Maverick0521,

Welcome to Community@Insignia™!

If you're giving the headphones the full time needed to charge (the red charging light indicator is off to reflect a full charge) and they will still not remain powered on after disconnecting the charger, I would recommend returning to the retailer of purchase if you're within the one year warranty period.  I hope this helps.

Re: NS-BTHDP Not Charging

My charger for the NS-BTHDP has failed, can not find my reciept and the telephone parts and service folks say no charger exists.  Do I have to throw away the set already? Google and eBay aren't showing any chargers for sale and I would appreciate any help in finding a universal or even the pin out and voltage so I can make one.

Any help would be appreciated.

Jason

Re: NS-BTHDP Not Charging

Hello jasonneedham,

Welcome to Community@Insignia™!

You should be able to get a copy of your receipt by calling 1-888-237-8289.  If you're within one year of the date of purchase, you may visit the store of purchase for service or replacement under the warranty.  I'm also forwarding your question about the charger to our technical team for response.  I hope this helps.

Regards,
John

Re: NS-BTHDP Not Charging

The charging port is a standard mini USB connecter. Any charger with a mini USB connecter on the end will work. If you have a mini USB cable lying around from a digicam or an MP3 player, you can even connect it to your computer's USB port and charge it that way.

Re: NS-BTHDP Not Charging

Hi jasonneedham and welcome to the forum.

You can use any USB charger (they all share the same power specs: 5V, 500mAh) or you can simply connect the headset to your computer's USB port, it'll charge as well.

Gonzo
