Same behavior here. Set appears and that speaker doesn't answer. I'm discouraged that the clock doesn't return. I'm going to keep the pair because the pair operates as one Bluetooth device for my computer which is awesome.

Insignia Voice Portable Speaker won't connect to internet

Just bought a couple Insignia Voice Smart Home wireless speakers and a Google Home Hub to set up in our office. 

 

The Home Hub set up with no problems. 

 

The Insignia Speakers go through the set up - but keeps failing at Connect to wifi. And then the speaker is stuck at "NET" on the display.


We are using a basic setup - Airport Expreme with a WPA2 Personal security.

 

I've tried several of the speakers and they all get jammed at the same point - they are visible in Google Home app, I get the chime, and it fails when trying to connect to wi-fi.


What do I do?

Thanks for sending.


My issues has nothing to do with Bluetooth pairing. It is a network connectivity issue.


I now have 2 speakers connected, but others still have "net" on the display.

 

Is there a sequence of steps to take to get the WiFi connectivity tightened up?

Thanks for giving those other troubleshooting steps a shot. I’m sorry to hear that they didn’t resolve the issues you’re having with getting your others setup. I’d be happy to make another suggestion.

 

Some customers that have reported similar issues have found luck in turning on airplane mode, then re-enabling Wi-Fi before trying to set-up. You’d want to try to this option after resetting the unit by holding down the microphone button. Also, please get as close as you can to your router during set up as well. Let us know if you’re still having an issue, and we’d be happy to see how we might be able help.

Other people say that more than two speakers fail to setup properly in one home.

BBY team - please confirm more than two speakers are supported in one home..

Hey SmartLumens,

 

We have not been made aware of any issues with having more than two Insignia Voice speakers configured in one home.  With that said, my understanding remains that no more than two speakers can be paired together (i.e. one left and one right speaker).

I have 4 speakers unpaired in one home and l just upgraded my router they worked with both. good luck
