After burning 3 ISO discs, none of which my player liked I finally got an update disc in the mail from Insignia.
The update was successful but now I alternately get... a blue screen with three folders displayed (none of which lead anywhere)... or
I insert a movie and it says "Loading" but never does.
Recognizing the BDLive feature might be the problem I inserted a USB stick... no change.... and then the adapter that came with the update disc with a USB stick. Still no change.
Is an internet connection required in order for the player to work as a result of this firmware update?
Can I not continue to use it as a stand-alone Blu-ray player?
Can I return this lemon to BB for a credit? Obviously Insignia has admitted it's a problem product.
