Blu-Ray NS-BDLIVE01 (Loading times over five minutes-unresponsive)

Hey there!

 

Quick question:I purchased a Blu-Ray Disc Player with 1080p Output Model NS-BDLIVE01 (SKU:9245514) and today, when I tried to start a movie it said loading and never continued. The TV screen said, "Loading in Progress" and then player said, "Loading". But nothing happened. I waited 5 minutes and it never loaded. Then I tried 4 other Blu-Rays and a few DVD and still, just "loading". Then, I let it wait for a moment and tried it again and it worked.

 

Can you explain what caused this and how I can prevent this from happening again? I don't want to have to return this. :-(..cause it's cool.

Your best bet is to return it and get another brand.

Welcome to Community@Insignia™!  We're glad that you like the player!

According to the owner's manual, you will probably need to reset the player.  Press STANDBY/ON, wait five seconds, then press STANDBY/ON again.  If this doesn't resolve the issue, the player may require service.

Thank you, John. I've tried the reset and it seems to have worked for now. I'll keep an eye on it, though.
