Welcome to Community@Insignia™!
You have already tried some of the troubleshooting steps in the owner's manual. Here are a few others: if you're using a Hi-Fi amplifier, try another sound source. If you're atempting to play a DTS disc, ensure that DTS digital out is selected in the Audio Menu and a DTS audio decoder is connected. If it's digital output, check the Digital Out menu to ensure the digital output is correctly set. Confirm that the audio format of the selected audio language matches your unit capabilities.
If you've tried all of these steps, or any others, please reply here and I'll notify our technical team for additional research. Don't forget to include any additional details that you think may help us!

Thanks for your quick response.
I've tried everything you suggested but still no sound. Is it possible that there is a specific problem with the audio that would allow the video to be perfectly ok?
I have my Home Theater Sound System connected to the Cox Digital Cable Box and have had the cable connections configured like this for 2-3 years. Everything was working fine until one day while removing a disk and putting another in, the sound went dead. At first I thought I may have hit a button to throw off some kind of setting.
Thanks again for any and all suggestions.

Hi again TerryP,
Have you tried unplugging the Home Theatre for about 1 hour? That will reset the device and leave it back to normal. What kind of connections are you using between the Cable Box and the Home Theatre? Do you get any sound if you try listening to the radio or CDs? If you do, then the device and speakers are not damaged and it would be really important to check what kind of signal is being sent out from the cable box.
