Refund points to bank for manually issued certificate?

I issued a certificate to use toward an item in my cart, but in the 1-2 minutes it took to get the certificate the item sold out. Now I have a certificate issued and nothing to buy with it. Since I am Elite and have point banking, can I get my points put back in my bank till I find something to buy? Hate to risk losing the points when the certificate expires. Thanks.

It’s one thing to discover an item you were hoping to purchase has sold out, but it’s another entirely to watch it happen within the span of two minutes!  It’s certainly a bummer when that sort of thing happens, and I’m sorry to hear that’s the case with your recent shopping experience.

 

Please know that once a certificate is issued, we’ll be unable to revert the certificate back to points into your account.  With that said, using the information you’ve provided upon joining our forums, I’m happy to see you were able to find something to use your certificate on shortly after making this post, and I hope you’ll enjoy your purchase!

D'oh! I meant to delete this post when I ordered. I actually did order the item that I wanted which sold out, but it was an open-box one instead of new since that's all they had left. Fingers crossed it's okay when it comes in. If not, and I have to return it, at least I know then I will get my points back.
