I have the opposite problem. I made a $3800 purchase that will trigger me to have Elite status when it has been processed. Does this mean the price match window will be 45 days even though I had only core status when the item was purchased?

Thanks for posting your question! Your return and exchange period (along with your price match time frame, should the item drop in price at best buy within your return and exchange period) would be based on your tier status at the time that the purchase was made. If you were a core member, this would currently be 15 days for most items sold at Best Buy, 14 days for cell phones and other days for items that can be activated.

Ok so per the original post.... the price match window is either based on the time of request vs time of purchase depending on which favors Best Buy. If I purchase something with elite status but the status expires, it’s based on the time of the request. If I purchase something with core status and then achieve elite status, it’s based on the time of purchase.

Seems a little unfair.

Thank you for following up with us here! I would like to clarify, as it seems there may have been some misunderstanding. Please know that your request will be based on your tier status at the time of your request. Should your tier status expire before your request, it would be based on your current tier. However, should your tier status upgrade after purchase, any requests would be based on your new tier status.
