Disappointed in Elite Plus phone # service

I wish considering all the $$ we spend on our Best Buy credit card to get the Elite Plus status (I've had for years), we could get more assistance on the Elite Plus phone line for basic questions especially when your other customer service # has very long waits like it did tonight. Actually any time I call the regular customer service # the wait is very long. So tonight after being on hold for 20 minutes, I called Elite Plus # instead for help.  She said she can only help with 'rewards'.  Really?  I thought they could help with other issues, no?  I seem to remember them helping with other issues in the past, not just 'reward' related issues.  

 

Also, please allow people to search for gift card balances on line and allow it to show WHERE you spent it.  I have a $0 balance on a BB gift card and I don't recall ever using it.  It'd help to know where it was used and for what.  I spent 20 min on hold and never got ahold of anyone who could answer this for me.  Put it on line, saves us precious time.

My understanding it that the My Best Buy Elite Plus phone line is reserved for My Best Buy questions and account support, and they may be unable to assist with other questions.
