A dollar short of Elite status

I spent over $1600 last year at Best Buy, but somehow ended up spending $1498.xx before taxes so I didn't get Best Buy Elite status this year.  I added up all my purchases off of Best Buy and saw that I was over $1600 so didn't think anything of it.

Is there really no way that I can be bumped up to Elite status since I was just over a dollar short?  I've spent so much money with Best Buy over the years (I am already at $700 for this year).  I didn't get any kind of notification or email that I was short by a dollar.

Re: A dollar short of Elite status

Hello JustinEllis32,

Welcome to the forum and thank you for connecting with us! When you've totaled up your year's spending and see over $1600 has been spent, it would be most frustrating to see your tier status expire at the end of February. As you seem to be aware, tier statuses that haven't met the required spending expire every year at the end of February. Oftentimes, customers may mistakenly include funds that do not count towards tier spending, such as tax, reward certificates, or gift certificates.

I would be happy to review your membership with you, so I am sending you a private message. You may check your messages by signing into the forum then clicking the envelope icon in the top right corner of the page.

Sincerely,
