Worst Experience Ever!!

I was looking for a fridge as mine was on its last legs. Memorial day sale Yay!. I attempted to buy an open box fridge but found out I could purchase one online but I would have to pick it myself!! Bestbuy would not deliver - no options were provided even after calling the store itself and the 1-800 #. Okay, disappointed but I really needed a fridge. Placed the order for an LG side by side fridge and a stove on May 26. I was disappointed again when I was informed it couldn't be delivered until the 17th of June. Okay, arranged for a family member to be there as I work out of state.

On the 14th, I received an email from the geek squad- informing my items needed a re-schedule. What? Called and was informed the fridge was on back order and they had a new date for me of July 5th. Was angry, annoyed- checked the site- still advertising the fridge saying delivery by 06/17. The old fridge is now dead. So what could I do? Desperately need the fridge now and money has already been taken from my account as of the 26th of May! So I accepted July 5th. Now I get another email from Best Buy's Geek squad informing me the fridge and stove will be delivered on July 22nd. 

This whole process is unacceptable! I've been waiting for 6 weeks for delivery. Had to purchase a little cheap fridge as my family doesn't currently have one. My family will be leaving on vacation for 3 weeks in the next week, no one will be available for this stupid delivery! I now have to cancel the order and buy from a competitor!! Who knows how long I'll have to wait for my money to be returned. I will never ever buy from BestBuy again! This whole experience was awful!!!

I'd like a number to call and complain or an address to write to please. I can't believe BestBuy is doing business like this. I also intend to contact the BBB and the Georgia AG as this seems kinda scam-like. You take my money and hold it for a month and a half.. if you do this to enough people you can turn a nice little profit. How long will it take my money to be returned after canceling?? Not how long the spiel states but how long it'll actually take to post back to my account. I'm a single parent, a new homeowner and can't afford to purchase the same fridge from somewhere else without receiving my money back first. Does anyone know how long this forum takes to get a response??

The normal return time for most refunds are 3 to 5 business days, but could be up to 30 days for some payment methods chosen (PayPal).  All depends on how it was paid for, when it was actually cancelled, and the financial institution used.

That said, typically a moderator could respond within 3 to 5 business days, but lately they've been very backed up and your patience is all they can as for until they have a chance to respond.  If you're needing immediate assitance I'd recommend calling us at the phone number in the first line provided.

Thank you for responding.I called and after cumulative total of 4 hours spoke with a manager named Devin. He cancelled my order. That is the only resolution offered. I was told 3-5 days maybe?? for my $2500 to be released. I hope so as I’m still in need of my items.
Thank you for the address- I will be writing a formal complaint. I also intend to contact the BBB and the Attorney General for what I believes constitutes fraud. They had $2500 of my money for the last 6 weeks- looking at the forum , this seems to be a pattern. It seems a great way to have other people’s money even if temporarily for other investments!
