Where is my Dishwasher? Deliver is MIA

Purchased online my Dishwasher at BestBuy and scheduled a delivery for 10/16/2018 between 8-12:00.   Received several emails and text messages confirming the day.    Unfortunately when you click further down into details about the order, the delivery time says between 10:00-2:00.    Tried calling Customer Support, but no answer for 45 minutes.  Gave up.   Took off work for the Delivery day and was texted that Alex was going to deliver my Dishwasher which was out for delivery.  At 1:30 PM no Alex or Dishwasher and no communciation.    Called Customer Support and was put on hold and then told there was no information about about what happened to the delivery.  It is now over 24 hours since delivery time and still received no updates.  Why have a sophisticated alert system if no one is going to use it properly.  Don't I deserve a email or call if there is a problem.  Is Alex ok?  How am I going to be compensated for missing work because of BestBuy's incompetenace?  Totally disgusted with Best Buy and sorry I spent 3K there.   Never again, will take my chances with another retailer.  They have failed misreably on many counts.   No delivery, follow-up and long Customer Service wait times.   My order number is {removed per forum guidelines} .

What you describe definitely isn’t what we want for our customers and I too would be quite upset if I was unsure why a delivery was not completed. Finally I called and reached a Customer Care Agent who informed me my dishwasher was out of stock and was never loaded for delivery.  Alex being out to deliver with my dishwasher was a myth.  The 5 emails and 5 text messages about delivery day were a mistake.   This dishwasher was orderded 9/9.  Surely someone could of informed me of the inventory issue during the 5 week wait.   There are some serious issues here.
