Unknown Delivery Date and Unable to cancel order


I recently order a router for my new apartment in order to finally be able to use WiFi. When I placed the order the shipping date was scheduled for today June 6th. Later in the day, after placing the order, I get a text and email saying that the order has been delayed. There was not an explainstion for the delay and the time frame of delivery went from 1 day to a whole month. When I called the local Best Buy they stated that it would in fact take a month to ship to me because it ships directly from NETGEAR. When I asked them if they could go ahead and cancel the order they said I would have to do it myself and that they were unable to do so from their end. I then went online to try to cancel the order; however, it wouldn’t allow me to click on the button to cancel. The reasoning behind this was described below as “you cannot cancel the order because it is currently in process.” While this is good news (I think) I find it very frustrating that I have no idea when it will be delivered and that I can’t just cancel the order and go buy a router in person. Please help me as soon as possible.
