Sedgwick not responding to emails or phone calls for property damage claim

I purchased a dryer on July 29 to be delivered that week. The day of delivery the installers damaged a wall in my laundry room by cutting a very large hole in a finished wall. I have contacted the store I ordered from, Best Buy corporate, Best Buy customer service and Sedgwick. At first they were all helpful, then they wrongfully denied my claim and have been unresponsive ever since. I’m not sure who to turn to next. I just left the store in downers Grove IL and spoke to a very unbelievably rude store manager, Tim, who told me this was not his problem and walked away. I have a claim number, police report, damage pictures and repair estimate. Please help!

Hello Kmciabattari,

Welcome to our community, and thanks for reaching out to us about your recent dryer delivery!  The last thing I expect when something is delivered to my home is that my property will sustain any damage.  I’m sorry to hear you feel as though you’re stuck in a bit of a rut with your damage claim, and I apologize if your interaction with Tim only compounded on your frustration.

If your claim was initially denied, I may not be able to change that, but I’d be happy to see if there are any other options we can resort to.  First, I’ll need to verify a few pieces of information from you. When you can, please send me a private message with the following details:

  • Your full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Order number
  • Sedgwick claim number

To send me a private message, just click on the blue button in my signature below labeled “Private Message”.

I look forward to hearing from you!
