Replacement Invisibleshield installation clarifcation

There's a less than one year old post on these forums about if there's a additional charge for a replacement or repurchase of a screen protector located here

https://forums.bestbuy.com/t5/Delivery-Installation/Re-Screen-Protector-Installation/td-p/1243695

I tried to buy a replacement protector and had my old receipt and the link above loading my phone browser, and was told rather rudely I had to be charged because it was after 14 days (which is its own can of worms), even though the above link says differently. I would like some clarification on the time lapse between installs or is it as long as I have the device. Thanks!

Re: Replacement Invisibleshield installation clarifcation

Sorry I was a little upset when I originally posted this, my problem is: my screen protector needs to be replaced, the original was paid to be installed by best buy, I have an identical one that I purchased from best buy, the link above says subsequent reinstalls are free as long as my replacement comes from zagg or Best buy, store I took it to refuses to do it even though I show them the above link and receipt for the install, and insists on charging for another install because I brought it in after 14 days, left store angry and confused because store and official forum response are conflicting. Also what is the official screen protector policy? When the one on my current device breaks and Zagg send me a replacement or I buy a new one in store, do I get the re-installation for free?

Re: Replacement Invisibleshield installation clarifcation

Thank you for clarifying, BoomBoom87,

I would be glad to give you some more information about our shield install policy. If a shield or device like a phone is deemed defective during our Return & Exchange Promise we are typically able to assist in reinstalling a new shield. For many manufacturers we are unable to reinstall a replaced shield without charging another installation fee with the exception of Zagg. For these shields we are able to assist in reinstalling them for no fee as long as an installation was purchased on the original transaction.

If you were provided different information during your visit to one of our store locations I would certainly like to look deeper in to this. Can you please send me a private message with some more information? I'll need to confirm your:

Full name

Email address

Phone number

Store location you visited

To send a private message please click the button at the bottom of my post across from my name. I look forward to hearing back from you so I can continue to research this.

Re: Replacement Invisibleshield installation clarifcation

This is how I’ve always understood it: If the replacement is purchased by the client off the shelf and not fulfilled by Zagg under warranty, this would be a new installation and subject to an installation fee. If our clients go through the warranty process and gets a replacement shield from Zagg, that reinstallation would be covered if previously installed by us.
