I had a Compustar remote start system installed a few days ago. The techs did a poor job in removing and reinstalling the various factory dash trim panels that needed to be removed to gain access for the wiring.
Panels were improperly reinstalled, or not reinstalled and all and just left sitting there to give the apperance they had been reinstalled. Perhaps worst of all (and the reason I noticed all of this) is one of these panels removed contains the latch to pop the hood. Well, I went to pop the hood to change my oil and noticed this mess and the latch looks like it was ripped off halfway and barely functions. Thankfully I did gain access to the engine bay, but it's only a matter of time before the hood doesn't pop any more thanks to this installation.
Please contact me and make this right. Others, be warned to inspect your vehicle carefully should you decide to take a chance and have Best Buy install a remote start on your vehicle. With this terrible "workmanship" I can only imagine what the wriring looks like behind the scenes...but the remote start does work (for now).

Certainly not the experience we want any customer to endure when having a remote start installed. Thanks for taking the time to register with the forums to share your feedback about the service you received. Having the lifetime labor warranty means if you're not satisfied with any of the workmanship, please return to the nearest Best Buy to have them fix what may have been fitted incorrectly. We want all of our clients to be happy with the service we provide.
Please shedule an appointment to get this looked over ASAP if you haven't already. The check in and checkout on the yellow copy (warranty) would have the vehicle condition when it arrived at the shop. Please have the Geek Squad Autotech review their notes with you to discuss anything that wasn't there when you dropped it off, and to especially take a look at the hood release if you feel it was not put back correctly.
