Original speaker install by bestbuy do I have to pay to install new?

Hello I know Best Buy said if I ever sell my car they will take the speakers they installed out and replace them with the stock ones for free . My question is my original speakers are blown and I don’t want to lose $ on the car because of it but I want my speakers . Can’t I just buy a cheap pair at Best Buy and have them install those or will they only install the original speakers back for free ? Thanks

Thanks for joining us at the Best Buy Community forums. That’s a great question.


Our lifetime workmanship warranty would only cover the reinstall of the original speakers, and not a changeover to other speakers you purchased from us. You’d be looking at a new installation fee to get new speakers installed.

That’s very disappointing I guess I won’t be buying new speakers from BB afterall . I don’t see the purpose of the lifetime install either it sounds good but it’s not really what it is . The speakers back there now don’t sound right I’m pretty sure they were not installed correctly to begin with .

I’m sorry to hear about your speakers. If it is an issue with the install, we should be able to get that fixed for you. Please head over here and schedule a consultation. One of our Autotechs can check it out and see if it’s something that is covered. They may be able to fix it on the spot, or schedule you for a longer appointment once they know what work will be needed.
