Mobile installer damaged vehicle

I ordered a new radio for my mother for mothers day that came with free installation. My mom took her car in and had the radio installed. She called me when she got home saying she loved the radio, but the shift knob was loose and the backup camera aren't working now. Apparently whoever did the installation damaged the shift knob so that it is no longer able to be tightened or installed correctly, and they yanked the power adapter for the backup camera out and bent the metal contact point where it plugs in. My brother was able to go over and fix the power adapter to a point, but now it doesn't make constant contact like it used to.

My question is how does Best Buy let a vehicle leave in worse condition than when it got there? This is unacceptable and absurd that an installer doesn't check before releasing a vehicle, let alone damaging parts of the vehicle. Very unhappy with this experience that was supposed to be a gift. I will never be utilizing the mobile installers again.

Hey, Seabeck,

Thanks for connecting with us on our forums. I know how important it is to make sure everything is working perfect in a car. Especially your mother's car. I can imagine how worrying that would be!

If you believe there was a problem with your installation, we would love to take a closer look at this. Have you had a chance to speak to a store manager at the store where this installation was performed? Generally speaking, they would be best suited to assist. If you need assistance getting in contact with a store manager, please send us a Private Message!
