Late Delivery

Received text that our delivery would be between 12 & 2 pm. At 2 pm received call that the driver was running 2 hours late. It is now 6:50pm which is almost 4 hours after our appointment. We have not received any other calls and I had to take a day off of work with no pay. After reading these forums this appears to be the norm. We are seriously thinking about cancelling the order and purchasing elseware as well as sending a bill to Best Buy for my time waiting. I know that the delivery is from a third party but my contract is with Best Buy and they are responsible for their contractors.

Finally found a chat feature on the Best Buy web site.  I waited on the phone for 1 hr before I found it.  On the chat I was connected with someone in less than a minute.   Their system said that my freezer is still out for delivery even though it is 9pm.   They sent a note for someone with the delivery service to call but I don't expect much this late at night.

Well the freezer never arrived and I never received a phone call.  The next morning the web site showed that I needed to rescheduled so I did for Friday between 7am and noon.  At 1:30 I started a new chat session but today the person was no help.  All they would say was to call the 800 number.  I called and spoke with the rep and explained what was happening.  She checked with the warehouse and was told that there was nothing there or on the truck for us.  She said that the store was suppose to wrap the freezer up and send it to the warehouse.  When asked why I was told on Wed that I received a call that the driver was running 2 hours late when he supposably did not have it?  She could not explain that and said she would check on it.   

 

At this time with the problems with the delivery, I am probably going to cancel and buy one from Home Depot because I have never had a delivery problem with them.   This forums is full of problems with Best Buy's delivery service.  If you check the BBB site you will see even more complaints.
