I had ordered a dishwasher online, it gave me the delivery date of 09/06, and also said I will get a seperate email with tracking information. I had not received any further emails. The delivery was not made on 09/06, or the days after.
I informed my credit card company about the missing delivery, and was told that supposedly, the dishwasher was delivered on 08/30 and just dropped off in front of the door?
The house is vacant and no one was there to receive it. When I was there on 09/06 there was no dishwasher! This is not a gated house, a brand new appliance cannot be just dropped off when no one is there - that's pretty logical to me. Plus I was not informed about an earlier delivery date. I think it is your resposibility to deliver it to me safely. Now I am out $400 and still have no dishwasher. How do you suppose this should be handled?

Welcome to the forums and thanks for the post! A missing delivery doesn’t sound fun and I’m sorry to hear you’ve found yourself in such a position. Especially when it’s something semi-essential and expensive like a dishwasher. This is something I’d definitely like to take a look at.

After a few private messages, I was told that supposedly, Best Buy sent an email with delivery information.
This email was not received, and I asked for a copy or even a screen shot of it. Best Buy is unable to
UPS did in fact deliver my appliance ONE WEEK before the scheduled delivery date and dropped it off in
the drive way of a vacant house...the delivery driver had a phone number but did not call (was part of the delivery instructions) Nor did he obviously require a signature.
What happened in the following week is hard to say, however the dishwasher was gone by the time someone
was at the house to receive it (the day it was supposed to be delivered according to Best Buy).
I do assume someone helped himself to a brand new shiny dishwasher that I paid for.
Very unfortunate, but lesson learned. BEST Buy it is not. There are many other options with much better
delivery and customer service.
