Horrible Delivery and Installation Experience

Our most recent purchase of a washer has been a nightmare. The first delivery attempt resulted in damage to our condominium’s common property. The second attempt was utter confusion when the installation team arrived prior to the delivery of the washer. On the third rescheduled delivery date, the washer was finally delivered but then the installation team did not show up to perform the installation. Now on the fourth date for the installation, the team arrived to say that because the washer and dryer are stacked, they cannot do the installation. (NOTE: The team that previously showed up to do the install saw the setup and said nothing at that time about a stacked washer/dryer being an issue. Also, we purchased a washer from Best Buy in 2015 and had the delivery and installation of that appliance done without incident when there was an existing stacked washer/dryer.)

 

Our tenant now has a washer in his living room with only a parting message from the installation team to call back when the old washer is ready to be hauled away (i.e., installation is now his problem). We need this situation resolved. Our tenant has a newborn and needs this washer installed as soon as possible. It is now one week out from the original delivery and installation date and we are still waiting for the installation portion of this order to be completed.

Welcome to the forum, although I wish you had found us under better circumstances. Purchasing a new washer and dryer for yourself is exciting, though it sounds like this may be for a tenant of yours with a newborn. I know how quickly newborn clothes can pile up, and being without a working washer and dryer would be far from ideal for any parent. I understand your urgency to get your tenant squared away.
