Dishwasher delivery personnel refused to unbox and remove packaging

Good prices and in store customer service just don’t outweigh the lack of service and mistrust created by their delivery personnel. I asked the delivery persons if they would unbox my new dishwasher and remove the packaging so I could inspect it and verify it was the correct model and they said “no”. They claimed that dishwashers were not eligible for unboxing and packaging removal. That answer made me wonder if there might be a problem so I started tearing open the box and removing the dishwasher by myself. Both delivery persons stood in my kitchen with me and watched as I struggled to open it offering me absolutely no assistance.

After they left I found the following on the Best Buy website:
Delivery Only Service includes:
- Unboxing and inspection of dishwasher; confirmation of make and model
- Removal of packaging from your home

Welcome to our community. I've often thought that after the rigorous process of selecting a new appliance from the considerably huge number of options available these days that the delivery should be almost a formality. It was with unhappiness that I read of the complications you encountered and the unwillingness of the delivery team to provide the anticipated service. I apologize for our having disappointed you.


Apart from not unboxing your new dishwasher, were the other aspects (if any) of your delivery carried out?
