Just got off the phone with a representative from Best Buy reporting that my delivery was delayed and now could not be delivered today as the military base I live at closes the visitor office before they would arrive. (They were scheduled 12-6pm today, with an ETA of 1:30-3:30pm). I specifically told the represenative when I was placing the order that they would need to be at the gate before 4pm to have access to the base. I was unable to choose the earlier option due to work restraints but took off the second half of today just to receive the shipment. I am very upset at the situation and would not recommend the installation service due to this (despite it being a free service).
Now I will have to reschedule this delivery to another weekday where I will have to take off of work. This is completely unacceptable service. If you provide an estimated time of arrival, you should stick to it. Not only did the representative say they weren't going to make it today by 4pm, they also said they wouldn't even make it to the base until 5pm. Absurd.
