CLAIMS ISSUES NEARLY 4 MONTHS LATER. BBY TO SEDWICK TO DSI (company that delivered and caused damage

Late august-
Delivery of new washer/dryer. Delivery guys strap broke, washer (older one that I was going to take to my moms) goes tumbling down the staircase. Scratching the paint, wall, bannister on the way down before hitting the wall, punching a massive hole in the drywall, breaking the washer that was still very new..... Some guy working for the logistics company said he'd fix it, came to our house, patched the hole in the WORST way I've ever seen and never showed up again. Fred to today: reported it to Sedwick back in September who then first mixed up my billing and delivery address....
And, fwded the claim to the company who delivered the washer/dryer and did the crap patch in the first place. (Who never came back, never called, never showed up to fix ANYTHING... and isnt even a licensed contractor)

It's now November 16th, dsi (after going back and forth via email), says they've gotten a hold of the delivery guy, denied causing the damage to the staircase, walls, banister (what do you think will happen when a huge Samsung VRT Steam tumbles down the winding staircase??? Magically miss the walls/banister).... but, "he tried coming to fix it and you were never there, " . Ummmmmm, this gentleman my husband told repeatedly, we were only free weekends said he showed up? But on a weekday? And we still have old text messages of him not replying. Of us asking/confirming "Saturday"?... because during the week I (wife) receive treatment for breast cancer during the week...

And now you want to send him back? Oh, no....... he's not allowed in my home. Why can't a third party fix it like most claim companies? I just want my walls and banister fixed!!!????

Also, youd think as a longtime customer,  who's made many, MANY big purchases through Best Buy,  I'd receive a whole lot better customer service.  (Bb reps get 5 stars),  the claims process with Sedgwick,  -20. Who do you talk to when the claims department does thirst job to help you but Sedgwick and the party they pass the claim along to are unresponsive? I love BB, but for this reason,  stop with big purchases. If something happens,  I am unable to have my home fixed.....

 

I wish Best Buy Customer service (I'm a total protection (sp?)...member also) had a way to MAKE these companies do thier jobs. It's very unfortunate. I love BB.

Having any damage occur to anyone’s property is certainly not the type of experience we want our customer’s to endure.  Knowing a 3rd party company is involved, I’m going to request some additional information to better understand how I can assist you, here on the Best Buy forums!
