Appliances extended delay on delivery dates

On 01 Sep 2019, I purchased the Electric Range and Over the range Microwave. While I placed the order online, the expected delivery date was just less than 10 days, but once I placed the order the online appointment schedule allowed me to select the earliest date as 21st Oct 2019. On 23rd Sep 2019, again I had to reschedule the delivery to 26th Oct 2019 due to an email received from BestBuy indicating the items taking longer than expected to arrive. Finally, on 25th Oct 2019, we intimated that the items arrived, and it will be delivered by 26th Oct 2019 and we will get a call 30 minutes before the delivery person arrives to our home.

On the delivery day(26th Oct 2019), we were away about less than 5 minutes’ drive location with the hope of the delivery person calls us 30 minutes before he shows off at our home. But the delivery person directly reached our home without a call before 30 minutes. Also, the delivery person apologized for not calling us 30 minutes before he arrives and asked us to reschedule the delivery as he can't wait 5 minutes for us to reach back our home. After that the next earliest appointment we received was on 23rd of Nov 2019. Today we did follow-up with the customer rep and rescheduled the delivery date as 18th Nov 2019. We really disappointed the way BestBuy handles the delivery and the fault was with the BestBuy delivery person not giving a call before 30 minutes and he unable to wait for us 5 minutes, but we had to wait for a month to get our delivery which is not acceptable. I hope the BestBuy should compensate for the delay and someone at Best Buy that can actually offer a resolution to this and make things right.

Hi,

       Finally after long waiting of 78 days, BestBuy delivered all the appliances on 18th Nov 2019, but the Over the range microwave installation wasn't completed as the delivery person indicated it requires additional work. So the delivery person told me that the Over the Range Installation order will be cancelled and I will get refund.

 

Till date the over the range microwave installation order wasn't cancelled and I haven't received the refund. I unable to reach the customer represenatative over the phone as no one is picking up even waiting on the line for more than 30 minutes everyday and the online customer representative responded that she unable to help me on this due to her limited acccess when I wrote the private message.

 

So I request you to resolve the following two issues at the earliest. FYI, I already gave the Order deatils to the online customer support represenative Karina.

 

1. The Over the Range Microwave installation needs to be cancelled and the amount to be refunded.

2. I need the compensation for the extended delay on delivering the appliances especially the delivery extended due to the delivery person's fault on 26th Oct 2019 as he didn;t came on the scheduled time and didn't notified 30 minutes prior to his arriaval and he unable to wait 5 minutes for us to reach home, but we had to wait 25 days to get it delivered on 18th Nov 2019.
