Viper remote compatibility

I have a viper 5701 system. Will either the 7752v or 7351 remotes work with my system. Thank you

Re: Viper remote compatibility

Both of those remotes should work. The advantage of the 7752v would be that you are getting the 2 way confirmation and LCD screen remote. The 7351 is the one way non-LCD screen, but both should pair up just fine.

Those both come in box at the time of purchase, but most of the times customers bought that 5701 unit for the LCD read out, but understandably so it is much more expensive to replace if broken.

Great questions and let me know if I can be of more assistance to you by replying on this thread. Thank you for your time and best of luck!

Re: Viper remote compatibility

I want to redact that last post. Sorry for the confusion. The LCD remote will work only for the 5704v not the 5701v I got the two confused since it is a few models passed that we carry now in stores. Your going to want to go with the 7351 remote, my apologies, I do not believe that LCD remote will pair up to the car since it is only 2000 feet of range and the 7752 remote is the sst version that is a different antenna for the 1 mile range. Sorry for the confusion in my first post but disregard that post.

Re: Viper remote compatibility

Compustar is the only brand to my knowledge that allows you the flexibility to switch out antennas for longer range and newer remotes.

Viper unfortunately doesn't work like that as their brain is proprietary to the antennas that come in the box. Anything viper especially when they switch from 2000 ft to 1 mile will have different signal codes and the 1 mile range has the SST antennas.

With that said if you are looking for more range then the only option for you would be the viper smart start (and which has a service fee per month or year). This device would allow you to download a free application and with the subscription to that application to use their servers, would allow you the range of wherever you get cellphone coverage.

Good question

Re: Viper remote compatibility

Autotech796 geek squad agent is wrong. I have the viper 5701, I switched antennas to the sst, and still to this day use the 7351v key fob. I did my research on this and it depends on the DOM of your 5701.

Re: Viper remote compatibility

True story there.  Viper does have interchangable antennas now.  Good update!

@G8maker, do you have the DOM where there is the cutoff.  Want to help out @Dank130 and it sounds like you possess this information!  Thanks for the assistance!

Re: Viper remote compatibility

[ Edited ]

Sorry for the delay, I copy and pasted this from the website I found it on, which was {removed per foum guidelines}, Hope this helps.

you need a 6211t with a date code of 10D or newer for the LC3 7351v. They may be a newer version of the 6211t that will work for both types of remotes but haven't found out a Date code or part number to verify it yet.

The LC3 7351v LE (2500 Ft.)remote is a non SST remote that works with the 6211t antenna.

The LC3 7752v is the SST version (1 mile range) as well as the HD 7941v Remote that works with the 6711T antenna.

Substituting the letter at the end of these remote models will get you the same remote different case.

V = Viper

P = Python

X = Clifford
