What happened to weekly ad???

Can’t find the weekly ad anywhere on BBY.com or app....what’s the deal? I look at the app EVERY sunday to see what new games / movies / etc are out and what kind of deals there are on older ones....where did the ad go?

Weekly Ad?

Where has the weekly ad gone? Have you decided to do away with it? If so, big mistake. It was one of the only reasons I felt the need to check in on the BB site on a weekly basis. I'd get on, check the ad, and then browse other stuff. Usually didn't make purchases from the ad, but I'd almost always find something on the site I'd want. When Walmart stopped their price matching, I pretty much stopped shopping their site altogether. If you dropped your Weekly Ad, you'll probably be the next to follow.

Re: Weekly Ad?

The tab "weekly ad" does appear to be missing, but there is a tab at the top called "top deals" which appears to be as close to the weekly ad, IMO.  Thanks for your feedback!  If it is gone, post it up on IDEAX to see about getting some up votes to your idea about bringing it back!

Re: Weekly Ad?

I was just with BB chat asking about this. It's because there's a clearance sale going on and that overthrows the weekly ad. I'm not sure what to think of that tbh.

Re: where's the weekly ad?

Best Buy doesn't do formal ads anymore. Everything is under Deals on the website.
I am not a forum moderator nor voice of corporate. One of the corporate moderators will be with you as soon as they can for the official response from Best Buy. The forums work on a first come, first serve basis and it can take a while for a response.

Re: What happened to weekly ad???

I’m not accepting that. No more weekly ad? I might as well shop on Amazon then and save a trip to the store...”Deals” isn’t good enough, I can find “deals” anywhere. I go to Best Buy after looking at the weekly ad to pick up my physical media. I’m getting sick of these businesses trying to shove their ebusiness down our throats....Best Buy is continuing to show that they don’t want to be big box any longer and they’re trying everyday to be more and more like Amazon....problem is, nobody can beat Amazon, period....I’ve been an elite member for the better part of a decade now for a reason....knock off this foolishness Best Buy....you’re big box! That’s what you do! I can understand not wanting to do paper prints anymore, but ditching the weekly ad in digital format is weak....I guess I won’t be looking through Best Buy’s ad on Sunday’s any longer....I’ll just have to rely on targets ad to tell me what’s new that week the I’ll but it on Amazon. Sorry BBY, you’ve been my favorite for YEARS....Guess that’s changing so you can save a few bucks within your design and marketing team. Good luck with your “deals” 🙄

Re: What happened to weekly ad???

I don’t see what the issue is here. It appears that Best Buy is still doing a similar thing where there are sales going on under the Deals section but it isn’t being called the weekly ad anymore.

Re: What happened to weekly ad???

If you select Products > Music and Movies > New Releases, you can find all the same new release information that used to be listed in the ad plus a lot more.  It was not uncommon for titles to not make the ad simply because of space constraints.  Best of all, it can be sorted by media type, price, etc. to shorten your search.  You can even check last week's releases and a lot of other cool things.

Re: What happened to weekly ad???

I concur with the other comments here.  Please bring back the weekly ad.  It has been my Sunday morning routine to browse the ad while I drank my tea and I badly missed it this weekend.  Due to the ad I've made many purchases over the years because of something I saw in it.  Just recently I bought a Google Home Hub from Best Buy based on seeing it in the ad and once I had it, I bought a second, and then two Google Home mini's, and then several light bulbs and finally a Nest Doorbell.   All from Best Buy, about $600 worth of product and all because of the weekly ad.

If I need to see the daily deals, I'll probably stick with Amazon's.  If I see a deal there, I'll buy from there and not from Best Buy.
