Re: Samsung note 10+ delayed

[ Edited ]

Nothing on this end yet. but I did get a email from the Executive Resolutions, (yes I email the Executive Board) Here is the note I got.

"Thank you for taking the time to contact the Best Buy Executive Offices regarding your Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ preorder experience at the Roanoke, VA store. Your email was received and forwarded to my attention for investigation and follow-up. I was disappointed to learn of your situation, and I am truly sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.

Unfortunately, the number of preorders we received for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ exceeded the number of devices ultimately made available to us by Samsung. For this reason, we were unable to immediately fulfill all of the preorders received on the device release date. I am truly sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. Remaining outstanding preorders will be fulfilled in the order that they were received as inventory becomes available.

Please know that I have made your concerns visible to store and district leadership and have asked that a member of leadership contact you to properly address your concerns and discuss any available options. They should be contacting you shortly."

Thank you for being engaged and sharing your feedback. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns regarding this matter.

Sincerely,

Katie {removed per forum guidelines}

Hopefully soon I will hear something....

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 10 + Status?

** Update **

I've still not heard or seen any update from Best Buy since I posted this.  However,  I forgot to go back and post updates on what I heard from Samsung Sales.  I checked with them on possibly getting the phones from them instead.  What I was told from them is that if I purchased the phones through them I would receive them by Sept 5th or Sept 12th.  So, I chose ot to cancel my current order.

I'm not going to let Best Buy off the hook here as their communication skills really SUX on this...  What I think is going on is a 2 or 3 fold problem.

1. Best Buy didn't fully inform people on all the phone orders.  From what I heard from Sprint, the Galaxy Note 10+ 512gig was a special order item.  So if that is true for them, I would think it might of been the same for Best Buy.  Though they didn't express this to customers.  If this is true.  It still doesn't excuse them for Orders taking over 1/2 a month to fulfill what their Pre-Order promo expressed.

2. Possible Samsung didn't plan properly to fulfill ALL the orders they received.  Again speculating here.

3. Mabye there is a slight chance that the issue with the tarrifs is part of the cause. I can only guess at this time and again this No Excuse for Best Buy or for Samsung on why orders aren't being Fulfilled and why Customers aren't getting the Truth.

I'd respect Best Buy if they infomred those who Committed to buying these phones more if they would send an E-Mail, Texted Message or a phone call to express what is going on and the hold up.  But since we've heard 1/2 a dozen different stories on what is going on.  It's too late for that.  I don't expect Best Buy to do anything to make up for the delay and lack of communication.  But what I do know.  I WiLL NEVER USE BEST BUY TO PRE-ORDER ANOTHER PHONE..

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 10 + Status?

I'm planning to cancel my order and buy it through Verizon though it's sad that I won't receive the $150 Samsung credit if I do this. Best buy's customer service is terrible.

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 10 + IN PROGRESS.

I'm in the same boat as all of you. I just called customer service and got a rep that was very forthcoming and helpful. Basically, Bestbuy just figured a day or two ago that stock wasn't being allocated to preorders...uhm, obviously! They are supposedly working hard to figure this out. Maybe this is the first time they've done a preorder on a phone. I'm annoyed as much as all of you, but what's going to be extremely annoying is finally getting the phone and them saying, oops our bad, without some compensation. At a minimum, they should be offering all of us a gift card to try and make this right...$100 sounds appropriate.

Note 10 plus not received

How about Best Buy send out an email explaining to all of us what exactly is wrong with their system? I ordered a note 10 plus and was scheduled to pick it up last Friday and when I got there so computer glitch would not allow me to purchase the phone (the phone is literally there) I was there for 2 hours, horrible customer service and I got nowhere. It is now Wednesday and I called the best buy 800 number and the lady I spoke to said they haven't even received any new information since last Friday. This makes no sense and it is unfair not to contact us. I have been a loyal customer and buy my phones from you for the past 5 years.

Re: Samsung Galaxy Note 10 + Status?

I found this article about Japan limiting supplies to South Korea that may delay the Note 10 and Apples new phone. This article is from July and if this is true, what didn't they just say it may be a delay.

Galaxy Note 10+ Aura Glow

A bit of back-story: I am loosing my current service on September 10th. I need a phone for my job for both communication and different forms of 2FA.

On August 19th, I pre-orded the Note 10+ in aura glow for Verizon. I did this for 2 reasons: Receiving the $150 credit form Samsung as well as a free S10+ through verizon's promotion. I chose in-store pick-up and the was told it would be ready on August 30th. On August 30th, my order status when to "processing." I went to the store, since the last time I used the in-store pick-up, the status was not accurate. When I got to the store, I was told that my phone had not yet arrived and they could not give me any answers. I was also informed that the verizson BOGO pormo would end on 09/03 and I was unable to take advantage of the promotion until my phone arrived. The only option for me to ensure I could receive the BOGO would be to cancel my order and start over, with no guarantee I would receive my device before 09/10/19. Not worth the risk - my job is reliant on my having a phone.

on 09/03/19, I checked the Best Buy Website and they were offering 2-day shipping on the device, as well as stating that thephone would be in-stock in my store on 09/07/19. I went to the store on 09/03/19 to check if my phone and arrived, and it has not. They provided me the same story of not knowing anything and that it was not their fault. I was also told that they BOGO event for Verizon ended and there was nothing they could do. I was told that if I started the process today (09/03/19) they could have the phone as soon as 09/05/19. They implied that they are getting a shipment for 09/05/19.

Today, 09/05/19, I checked the Best Buy Website, and it was advertising next day delivery as well as an in-store date of 09/10/19. I called in. I was told that they did not receive any of the devices. I was also told again that they have no way of knowing if I would receive my phone before 09/10/19. I was also told they had no way of knowing if I would receive my phone before 09/20/19, the date when The Samsung promotion ends.

I want an honest answer. It blows my mind that Best Buy, a gigantic national electronics retailer, has no way of knowing if they're getting a product from one of the world's largest manufacturer of electronics. This is not a dead drop for drugs. These are $1,000+ consumer electronics. I have already lost out on the BOGO, so that's $950 that I'll never see. I'm in danger of not having a device for my job. I may not get the $150 Samsung promotion. I just want to know when will I receive a device that I pre-ordered and was promised nearly three weeks ago for a missed delivery date of a week ago?
